Author Bio

Raquel Neal is an underdog turned powerhouse, a woman who learned that her presence was never the problem. It was always the answer. Her debut memoir Crowned Anyway: The Golden Child Effect is part revelation, part battle cry, written for every woman who was praised for her excellence but punished for her presence.

Raquel writes for the ones called “intimidating,” the ones who dodged quiet envy, the ones who were the blueprint others tried to erase. Through her story she reminds readers that you were never too much, you were undeniable.
